Privacy and cookies
Last updated: 27 October 2026
This notice covers veritynational.com, the website of Verity National, a mail-order seller of archival storage supplies working from York, England. It sets out which details reach us, for what reason, where they travel and which requests you may make about them. The contact for every privacy matter is [email protected].
Details carried by the order form
Pressing send on our order form hands over your name, e-mail, delivery address, chosen items and quantities, region, running total and whatever you put under what you are storing. These details travel to our mailbox through FormSubmit, a form-forwarding service that relays the submission to us by e-mail. We use them for one purpose: to check the order, send you a payment link, post the parcel and answer questions about it.
Payment details are never entered on this website. The secure payment link we send is run by a payment provider, which handles card data under its own privacy terms.
We keep order correspondence for six years, because UK tax rules require sales records for that long, and then delete it. Messages that never became an order are deleted after twelve months.
Cookies and the consent slip
On a first visit a small slip raises the question of cookies. Your answer is kept as one entry in this browser's local storage, under the name vn_cookie_v1, so the slip does not keep returning. That entry stays on your device; nothing on our side reads it at present.
No cookie of any kind is placed by {DOMAIN} itself. No analytics, measuring or advertising tools are installed today, so ticking the analytics option currently switches nothing on. Should we ever add such a tool, it would stay switched off for anyone who had not said yes, and this notice would change before it went live. The two typefaces load from an outside font service, which receives your IP address in the ordinary way when the font files load.
Your rights
Personal details are never sold, rented or swapped by Verity National. The GDPR, as it applies in the UK and the EU, lets you request a copy of what we keep on you, ask for mistakes to be put right, ask for erasure, take your details away in a portable file, and object to any use we make of them. Readers in California hold matching CCPA rights: to learn what is held, to request erasure, to opt out of a sale (there are none here) and to suffer no worse treatment for asking.
Any of these requests goes to [email protected], and an answer follows inside a calendar month. Should our answer leave you dissatisfied, the UK data protection regulator will hear a complaint.
Who took each photograph, and under which licence, is recorded on the terms page.
